In observance of Veterans Day, the Alaska Disaster Assistance Centers (DACs) have announced modified schedules for Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
The Anchorage DAC, located at Calista Corporation – Maani Building, 1400 W. Benson Blvd, Suite 110, will be closed for the day in recognition of Veterans Day.
Meanwhile, the Bethel and Kotzebue Disaster Assistance Centers will remain open for regular hours to continue serving residents affected by recent storms and emergencies.
DAC Locations and Hours for November 11, 2025:
- Anchorage DAC: Closed (Veterans Day observance)
- Bethel DAC: Open 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: AVCP Tugkar Building, 570 3rd Ave, Bethel, AK - Kotzebue DAC: Open 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: Maniilaq Health Center – Ferguson Building, 733 2nd Ave, Kotzebue, AK
The DACs, operated in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and the American Red Cross, provide vital assistance to individuals and businesses recovering from disasters.
Officials encourage residents in Bethel and Kotzebue to visit their local centers during open hours to access recovery resources, financial aid information, and housing assistance.
In a statement, the agencies extended gratitude to all service members:
