Tesla has introduced its much-anticipated Pi Phone, a device that promises to change the smartphone industry with direct satellite internet access through Starlink.
The phone, price starts from $800 to $1200, allows users to connect from anywhere on Earth without needing a SIM card or Wi-Fi. From deserts to mountain ranges, as long as Starlink satellites are visible, the device can stay online.
Elon Musk has described the Pi Phone as more than a phone. Along with Starlink internet, it supports solar charging, crypto mining features, and other advanced functions aimed at digital nomads and explorers. The device eliminates roaming charges and “no signal” zones by connecting directly to satellites.
Reports suggest the Pi Phone may come with Tesla car controls, AI-driven photography, and live video streaming through a partnership with SpaceX. Industry watchers say the launch puts Apple and other phone makers on alert, as Tesla is not competing within the current market but creating its own ecosystem.
The Pi Phone marks Tesla’s entry into the smartphone industry, combining space technology and mobile connectivity in a way that has never been seen before.
