ANCHORAGE, Alaska — State of Alaska and FEMA teams will be in Fairbanks from December 1–3 to help people affected by the October West Coast Storms.
This in-person support is especially for survivors who were displaced from villages and need assistance with their recovery.
At the site, survivors can:
- Register for state and FEMA disaster assistance
- Ask questions about their case
- Meet with a FEMA inspector

How to Register for FEMA Assistance
Survivors may also apply without visiting in person:
- Call FEMA’s Alaska Call Center: 1-866-342-1699
- Hours: Weekdays 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
- Yup’ik interpreters available Tues/Thurs (1–5 p.m.) and Saturday (10 a.m.–3 p.m.)
- Visit: DisasterAssistance.gov
- Use the FEMA app
Deadline to apply for FEMA assistance: December 22, 2025
This is also the last day to apply for a Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster loan for physical damage.
SBA staff will be available at the Fairbanks site to help applicants.
State of Alaska Individual Assistance
Survivors should apply for both state and FEMA programs.
