Residents across the region are invited to participate in upcoming open houses for the Southeast Alaska Transportation Plan (SEATP), a 20-year multi-modal plan that will guide future public transportation infrastructure investments throughout Southeast Alaska.
The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities is encouraging community members to attend and provide feedback that will help shape long-term improvements to connectivity, safety, and mobility across the region.

The open houses will follow a drop-in format, allowing attendees to arrive anytime during scheduled hours. Participants can:

Organizers encourage residents to explore the SEATP StoryMap, which includes an overview of existing conditions and background information
Why It Matters
The SEATP will shape decisions on ferry service, road improvements, aviation access, marine transportation, and community connectivity across Southeast Alaska for the next two decades.
Public input is a central part of the planning process, ensuring that the final plan reflects the needs and priorities of the communities it serves.
