NVIDIA Corporation and Nokia Corporation announced on October 28, 2025, a strategic partnership aimed at developing next-generation AI-native mobile networks and establishing America’s leadership in telecommunications infrastructure.
Under the agreement, NVIDIA will invest $1 billion in Nokia, acquiring approximately a 2.9 % stake in the Finnish company through a directed share issuance at $6.01 per share.
The collaboration will focus on key initiatives including:
- Development of AI-RAN (Artificial Intelligence Radio Access Network) solutions that integrate NVIDIA’s compute platforms with Nokia’s RAN software portfolio.
- Deployment of a new 6G-ready computing platform, the “ARC-Pro,” introduced by NVIDIA, which is designed to support RAN workloads, edge analytics and next-generation mobile infrastructure.
- Integration with major service providers in the U.S., including T‑Mobile US, Inc., which will work with the two companies on field trials as part of the transition from 5G to 5G-Advanced and 6G networks.
In a statement, NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang said:
“Telecommunications is a critical national infrastructure, the digital nervous system of our economy and security. Built on NVIDIA CUDA and AI, AI-RAN will revolutionize telecommunications, a generational platform shift…”
Nokia President and CEO Justin Hotard added:
“The next leap in telecom isn’t just from 5G to 6G, it’s a fundamental redesign of the network to deliver AI-powered connectivity, capable of processing intelligence from the data center all the way to the edge…”
Analysts estimate the global AI-RAN market could exceed $200 billion by 2030.
The partnership is positioned as a significant step toward enhancing U.S. competitiveness in telecommunications infrastructure and reducing reliance on non-U.S. sources for critical technologies.
