The recent discovery of a missile in Ukraine’s Poltava area suggests that North Korea is supplying Russia with ammo. Russia and North Korea have deepened their cooperation recently, with Kim Jong Un referring to Putin as his “closest comrade” on his birthday.
Key officials from South Korea’s National Security Office, Ministry of National Defence, and National Intelligence Service attended a major security briefing on Friday. Yoon’s office said the participants committed to monitoring the situation and responding to the international community using all possible measures. After Ukrainian military intelligence reported that Russia’s army was establishing a North Korean battalion, the National Intelligence Service made this claim.
Furthermore, President Putin submitted a bill this week to formalize a military deal with Kim that commits Russia and North Korea to help each other in the event of an assault. National Intelligence Service: North Korean forces are training in Russian sites in Vladivostok, Ussuriysk, Khabarovsk, and Vlagoveshensk. This supports a Far East military source’s claim that “a number of North Koreans have arrived” at a military facility in Ussuriysk.
Also, Seoul’s intelligence service revealed overhead photos showing hundreds of North Korean troops in Ussuriysk and Khabarovsk. They also posted a picture of North Korea’s Chongjin port, where a Russian ship carried soldiers. North Korea has transported 13,000 containers of shells, missiles, and anti-armor rockets to Russia since August, according to the NIS.
Russia may have gotten eight million 122-mm and 152-mm rounds. However, some military analysts worry about North Korean personnel joining Russian forces. Language problems and inexperience in battle are concerns. These forces may protect parts of the Russian-Ukrainian border, allowing Russian battalions to focus elsewhere.
