Meals on Wheels Fairbanks is seeking a part-time driver to help deliver meals and provide vital wellness checks for home-bound seniors and individuals with disabilities in the North Pole area.
The position pays $18–$20 per hour and includes paid time off. According to the organization, the role is essential in ensuring that vulnerable residents receive daily nutrition, safety check-ins, and compassionate support, especially during Alaska’s winter months.
The driver will be responsible for safely loading and delivering prepared meals along established North Pole routes, monitoring client well-being during brief visits, and reporting any concerns to program staff. Light food-handling support and basic vehicle upkeep are also part of the position.
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation. The ability to lift up to 30 pounds is required, along with friendly, patient, and empathetic communication skills. A background check is mandatory.
