A local restaurant is stepping up to support seniors in the Fairbanks community through a special fundraising partnership benefiting the Meals on Wheels program.
Frozen Smoke BBQ will host fundraising days on Monday, February 2, Monday, February 23, and Monday, March 2, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day. During these events, 10 percent of all taco sales will be donated to the Fairbanks Meals on Wheels program, which provides nutritious meals to seniors and individuals in need.
In addition to the percentage donation, Frozen Smoke BBQ has pledged to donate one smoked pork shoulder for every 50 tacos sold, adding even more support to the program’s efforts.
Organizers say the fundraiser is a simple way for community members to enjoy a meal while giving back to a program that plays a vital role in supporting Fairbanks residents.
Community members are encouraged to stop by on the listed dates to support the cause and help make the fundraiser a success.
