Families across Anchorage have a full calendar of free and low-cost February events to look forward to, with activities ranging from live music and winter recreation to creative play and family support programs.
A community events roundup shared by Anchorage WIC highlights several family-friendly opportunities taking place throughout the month at locations across the city.
The schedule begins with a Symphony Family Concert on Sunday, February 1, from 3–4 p.m. at Atwood Concert Hall, where children under two can attend for free with tickets. On Saturday, February 7, families are invited to Ski 4 Kids 2026, a community fundraising event at Kincaid Park starting at 2 p.m., with free registration.
Mid-month events include Collectors of the North on Saturday, February 14, offering free entry and parking from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Arctic Recreation Center. Creative activities continue with Blink: Creative Play sessions on February 5, 12, 19, and 26, held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Anchorage Museum’s Tote KidSpace, where WIC participants receive free admission by showing their WIC card.
WIC support services are also featured, with Support Group meetings welcoming pregnant, breastfeeding, and family participants on Thursday, February 19, at the WIC JBER Clinic, and Friday, February 20, at the WIC L-Street Clinic, both running from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Organizers say the events reflect ongoing collaboration between Municipality of Anchorage partners and the Anchorage Health Department to provide accessible, engaging programs for families during the winter months.
Residents are encouraged to check individual event details in advance and take advantage of the wide range of activities available throughout February.
