A major Cloudflare internal server issue caused widespread outages across multiple websites and online services today, affecting users globally who rely on the company’s content delivery and security infrastructure.
The incident began earlier in the day when Cloudflare’s systems reported internal errors, triggering outages on numerous websites that use the platform for DNS management, traffic routing, firewalls, and performance optimization. Users encountered error pages, long load times, and intermittent service interruptions.
Cloudflare acknowledged the disruption through its system status page, noting that engineers identified an internal server malfunction and were working to restore stability. Initial reports suggest the issue originated from a configuration or infrastructure fault within part of Cloudflare’s global network, leading to cascading failures.
While the outage did not affect all regions equally, a large number of high-traffic websites, SaaS tools, and e-commerce services experienced noticeable downtime.

Cloudflare later reported progress in mitigation efforts and confirmed that services were gradually returning to normal as systems were reset and rerouted.
The company has not yet released a full post-incident summary, but a detailed root-cause analysis is expected soon.
Users who continue to experience disruptions are advised to clear their DNS cache, refresh their browsers, or monitor Cloudflare’s official status page for updates.
