ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Due to inclement weather, the reopening of the Bethel Assistance Hub, which assists Alaskans affected by the severe storms, flooding, and remnants of Typhoon Halong Oct. 8-13, 2025, has been delayed. The deadline to apply for state and FEMA Individual Assistance is Feb. 20, 2026.

Other ways to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance:
- Call the Alaska Call Center at 1-866-342-1699 from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Yup’ik interpreters are available 1-5 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.
- Register on DisasterAssistance.gov.
- Download the FEMA App and submit your application directly through it.
To apply for state Individual Assistance, visit www.ready.alaska.gov/ia or call 1-844-445-7131.
The U.S. Small Business Administration offers low-interest disaster loans to homeowners, renters, businesses, and nonprofits. SBA representatives are on hand 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays at the Disaster Loan Outreach Center at Bethel City Hall, 300 Chief Eddie Hoffman Hwy. For more information, apply online at sba.gov/disaster or call 1-800-659-2955. The deadline to apply for physical damage is Feb. 20, 2026.
