The Anchorage Health Department (AHD) has announced that it will be closed on November 27 and 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
City officials confirmed the temporary closure in a public notice on Sunday, reminding residents to plan ahead for any services they may need before the long weekend. All AHD offices and public health services will remain unavailable during the two-day holiday break.
Normal business hours are scheduled to resume on Monday, December 1.
The department encouraged residents to utilize online resources for general information and to ensure they complete essential tasks ahead of the closure. Emergency services will continue operating without interruption.
