Alaska will issue the final round of stimulus check 2025 payments to qualifying residents later this August. The Alaska Department of Revenue confirmed that eligible applicants will receive their checks on August 21 if their status qualifies.
This year’s checks include an annual dividend of $1,440 plus a $262 energy relief bonus, bringing the total to $1,702. Only Alaskans whose Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) status reads “Eligible-Not Paid” on August 13 will receive this last payment.
Officials began distributing the 2025 PFD checks earlier this year, with two payment rounds completed before August. According to officials, direct deposit recipients will receive their money faster than those who opt for mailed paper checks.
Applicants must meet strict eligibility rules, which the Alaska Department of Revenue enforces to ensure only actual residents receive benefits. To qualify for checks, residents should not have felony charges or extended absences from Alaska during the 2024 calendar year.
Additionally, applicants cannot claim residency in any other state or foreign country after December 31, 2023, to remain eligible. To receive payments in 2025, applicants had to submit their forms no later than March 31.
Roughly 600,000 Alaskans qualify annually, and many rely on the PFD to cover essential expenses amid rising living costs. The PFD program, funded by oil revenues, has helped strengthen individual households and the state’s economy since 1980.
State officials call the program a cornerstone of economic support, especially for rural Alaskans facing limited income opportunities. Those who meet eligibility rules and missed this year’s deadline may apply again between January 1 and March 31, 2026.
