An Alaska-based dive rescue organization announced it has received a donation of an unserviceable aluminum aircraft frame from Sutton Aircraft Salvage to support training operations.
While thanking the donor, the group said it is still seeking additional assistance to support both training and mission response needs across the state.
For training purposes, the organization is looking for an unserviceable or older aluminum boat, with or without a cabin, no longer than 24 feet, and without a motor.
For mission response, the group is seeking a building or land available through a long-term lease or donation. The site must allow 24-hour access, be located within 45 minutes of Anchorage, and provide enough space to store boats, trucks, and rescue equipment. Officials said a cleared or paved lot suitable for a temporary or semi-permanent structure would also meet operational needs.

The organization is also seeking donations, sponsors, grant writers, and supporters to help replace a remotely operated vehicle (ROV), maintain and service dive equipment, cover fuel costs, and support ongoing rescue missions. Officials said 99 percent of donations go directly toward mission operations, noting that team members are not paid.
Those able to assist are asked to contact the group by email at akdiversq@gmail.com.
